Final update on Red - bailed!

With the unending and concentrated efforts of Tracy from the Peppy Foundation, Maripat and Diane of P.A.P.A. and Linda (me) from Tiny Loving Canines, Red was bailed last last night and transported. Although I am now a Chi rescuer, before my back problems I trained Pitties and I have to tell ya... Red is a dream...

He rode in the back seat of my truck yesterday from the shelter to his location in Los Angeles, loving me and loving life... We stopped at Wendy's after leaving the shelter and I treated him to a double without condiments or cheese... He also likes french fries, BTW... I did video him but just got the FLIP so I don't know how to get it from the camera to the Internet (yet)... But I promise to post it shortly...

The four hours I spent transporting him last night were WELL worth it... He did not have to die or waste away in a shelter... He clearly is a sweetie and well behaved towards humans... I wondered many times last night in those four hours about what got him into the shelter to begin with... These are the times that just KILL me in rescue... Good dogs with just plain gosh darned bad luck...

For all of those who worked so hard to network and give this guy a second chance at a great life, in my opinion everyone earned their guardian angel wings last night... And in case you didn't read Maripat's original plea and see photos of Red, HERE IT IS.
