It is always a 'numbers' game... sigh...

Of 153 dogs showing on VCAS' website this morning (5AM), only 96 are actually available. The average length of days since impound is 12.63 days, with the oldest being 42 days (the Akita named "Saykoon" in kennel # 110).

Of these 96 available dogs, 18 were Pitties and 18 were 'big dogs' over 40 pounds (GSDs, Sharpei, Husky, etc.). There were 35 Chihuahuas listed ~~~ although only 3 were close to what the public thinks of as a Chihuahua in size or appearance.
